A Penchant For Patriotic Colors
Do you have a penchant for Patriotic colors? You know, the colors of red, white and blue! There are many ways to have this theme without actually having a theme. These colors can be mixed with other grounding neutrals or pops of color to create balance. It's funny, I am only drawn to these colors in the Summer and I am sure it's because we have so many Patriotic holidays. I think something about red, white and blue seem very clean and crisp to me. How do you bring the Patriotic colors to your home?

Iron Deficiency!
A month ago I had to had two rounds of Iron infusions before surgery because of my severe anemia. I must say since that I feel much better, but... I am craving Iron in different ways now!
I want interior IRON! I know there is no way I can remove the old historic windows in my home and replace them with iron frames, however one can dream. Then I thought maybe I can at least fake them out in the kitchen by painting them charcoal. I may play with it and see what happens. What are your thoughts? Are there any great ways to to do an Iron Window hack?

Say Yes To The Zest!
Nothing says Summer tome like a good LEMON! It instantly adds Summer fun to any room, wardrobe or even a favorite recipe! Lemons are abundant this time of year so take advantage of them. Use them in desserts and as table setting decorations. Add lemon juice to garlic chicken with rosemary and plenty of good olive oil for a wonderful BBQ marinade. SOWBA-Sisterhood Of The World!
Thank you Sarah from SarhaSarna.com for nominating me in the Sisterhood of The World Blog Awards. This is going to be a tough one since I always over think personal questions and always come up with more than one answer ! Bare with me y'all!! 1. What celebrity are you said to resemble?
This is too funny because I am told I look like so many different people some great and some well not so great.
On a good day I have been told Michelle Pfeiffer and believe me I wish that was true! On a not so great day Lindsay Lohan. No offense to Lindsay she was beautiful before she started playing around with her face and other things. Well, I will let you decide!
2. If you could pick any designer, living or dead to decorate your house, who would it be?
Again a tough one! As a decorator myself there are so many designers that I idolize.
It would have to be Michael S. Smith!
3. If you won the lottery, what's the first thing you would do?
I would love to start a shelter/work program for homeless and runaway teenagers. I saw a documentary on this crisis and I felt so helpless. Then I would buy my parents their dream home!
4. What is your favorite room in your house and why?
I think it's my living room because of all the natural light that streams in during the day.
5. If you could rewind ten years and give yourself a piece of advice, what would it be?
It would be what I tell my girls all the time, have self confidence! You don't need anyone or thing to validate who you are, you just need to know you are special and capable of great things.
6. What's the worst haircut you ever had?
HAHAHA, it would have to be the Dorothy Hamill wedge in the 1970's!
I had such thick wavy hair that the boys called my rat's nest when I came to school with my new doo!
7. What's your favorite little luxury?

#UltimateVegasOutfit at any age!
If I could do an ultimate stay in Vegas along with the ultimate outfits this is what I would imagine wearing on such a trip! What fun right? What's a 40+ gal to wear and where would I go in fabulous Las Vegas? Hmmm, it didn't take me long to visit Vegas.com and come up with some fun destinations and then scour the internet for great Fashion attire to wear once there.

Okay, if you still have any energy left after gambling, swimming, eating and shopping.. There is still the famous VooDoo Rooftop Lounge! I am not sure if a gal my age can swing it but I am willing to try! I forgo the mini dress for a Fuchsia jump suit by DVF and make myself wear the hot blue heels. The fun clutch as it does double duty from dinner to a night cap.
I love Sisley bronzer and Tropical perfume to give you an instant glow. I will have my pale pink Belvedere - Cosmo and call it a night!
